Use these connection details in your coding tool. The coding assistant supports code generation and tool calls; the general assistant also accepts images.
Set up Cline with FastCollab AI
Cline is the coding-agent extension that reads your project, proposes changes and runs commands with your approval. FastCollab AI supplies its answers.
Create your personal key
Use Create an access key below. Name it “My VS Code”, select Coding only, and click Create key. Copy the key immediately; it is shown only once.
Install Cline in VS Code
Open VS Code and select Extensions in the sidebar (Windows/Linux: Ctrl + Shift + X; Mac: Cmd + Shift + X). Search for Cline and install the official extension. You can find it through the Cline installation guide.
Choose your own provider
Open Cline from the VS Code sidebar, then open its settings using the gear icon. Choose the option to use your own API key if onboarding asks. Under API Provider, select OpenAI Compatible.
Enter the connection details

/v1. Keep the remaining settings at their defaults and save. If Plan and Act have separate configurations, use these same settings for both.Open a project and try a first task
In VS Code, choose File → Open Folder and select your project. In Cline, start in Plan mode and ask:
Explain this project’s structure and suggest one small improvement. Do not change any files yet.
After reviewing the plan, switch to Act when you want Cline to make changes. Review file edits and terminal commands before approving them.
Check your connection if needed
Invalid key: copy the full key, or create a new one if it expired or was revoked. Model not found: enter
fastcollab-coderexactly and check that your key allows coding. Request limit: wait for the stated interval or ask your administrator about your daily allowance. Start a new Cline task if the conversation grows beyond the context limit.
